Macworld 2007
Last week was the Macworld Expo in San Francisco. I went down there to be a promoter with Axiotron for their Modbook - I got to demo their tablet mac all week, drawing with it and painting with it. I had a great time with the tablet and with the Axiotron people - Andreas, Kumiko, Nate, Raleigh, and Joseph - CEO, cofounder, business director, wacom dude extraordinaire, and tablet/GPS/photo guy (versatile!).
The tablet was really great - it's not a touchpad, it's actually got a wacom pad behind the screen. And, since it's running OSX, the machine I was on (Zhaan) only crashed once the entire week (as compared to my home computer, Sikozu, who crashes when I stand up from my computer chair about 50% of the time). Photoshop ran beautifully on it, and I got hopelessly addicted to Artrage. Also, it just made me feel all warm and fuzzy to be able to sit on the floor back at the hotel with a computer on my lap and paint in Photoshop. On the floor! With something roughly the size of my sketchbook!
Apparently everyone else thought it was pretty neat, too, since we ended up winning Macworld Best of Show. I say 'we' to make you think that I had something to do with the actual development of the mod, which is a total lie. I was just a booth babe!
Anyway, here are the drawings that I remembered to put on my USB drive, and some photos of the sweet sweet Modbook.

Me! Drawing! Drawing something that I forgot to save!

Now I've just got to start putting some money away so that I can get one of these babies in a year or so...
